Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills. Candidate must have a solid understanding of government, legislative activities and current news. The position requires attention to detail, ability to meet quick deadlines and highly organized. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and sustain relationships, demonstrate good judgement and be creative.
Daily responsibilities will include writing issue briefs, testimony and updates to clients as well as meeting with legislators to present the issue and solution. Candidate needs to have strong persuasive skills in both written and verbal communication. Researching, analyzing and taking detailed notes are daily requirements of this position.
Bachelor degree required (preferred political science or communications). Law degree would be helpful. Third year law school students encouraged to apply.
